What I Wore This Week: A WFH Style Diary

As someone who works from home, my outfits walk the line between comfort and polish — enough to feel put-together, but prioritising comfort. Over the past week, I documented every look so here's a round up to give you some ideas of WFH outfits.

From laid-back t-shirts and trousers to dressed-up skirt and heels, this week I really played with my wardrobe.

Because let’s be honest, dressing up (even just a little) helps set the tone for the day.

Monday: Soft Start

Think easy cotton t-shirt with comfy, high-waisted trousers and trainers. This is perfect for those of you who are in the Soft Autumn palette like me! Monday energy: low effort, high comfort.

Tuesday: Networking

I had a networking event with The Kind Vibe, so I dressed up a bit more. Ribbed, cropped t-shirt, floaty patterned skirt, heeled Mary Janes and a belt to highlight my waist. This is one of my tried-and-tested outfits that I wear on repeat - and I think you can see why. It's comfortable and it looks like I made an effort. And another colour palette that works for the Soft Autumn and Soft Summer girlies alike!

Wednesday: Printed trousers

This unpredictable weather means I tend to wear trousers a lot, but that doesn't mean I can't wear fun ones! I love these wide-leg printed trousers, I sometimes struggle with the right top but I think this one with frilly sleeves worked well. I added slippers on my feet to add some playfulness to the look.

Thursday: The jumper came out

Thursday was quite cool outside and I took out this lovely pre-loved piece that I got at a local market. It is such a stunning colour, and I wanted something a bit brighter with the plain, black wide-leg trousers. I decided to add more brightness with a colour-block belt with orange accents, which I think really elevates the look.

Friday: Dress day!

Friday is, by default, a happy day and this outfit definitely reflects that. Given this dress is quite Summery, I wear a t-shirt underneath to really make the most out of it even when it's not super hot. With the right accessories, your outfit can completely change (I wore this same dress to a wedding a few years ago, but I styled it in a different way).

Saturday: Stylist in store

Myself and a fellow stylist, Susannah, did a 'Stylist in store' event at a beautiful boutique in Warlingham (4 The Green). I needed an outfit that would be comfortable but that would reflect my style, so I went for these wide-leg trousers and a plain top. As I knew I'd be on my feet all day, I went with trainers rather than heels but I'd like to try this with the Mary Janes from the Tuesday look too...

Sunday: Weekend vibes

Some of you may expect a personal stylist to always look 'put together'. The reality is, we also need days off in our joggers! Sunday was a day for relaxation: breakfast out at a local cute cafe, neighbourhood walks, lounging and tidying up my wardrobe (more on that later!). A comfortable ensemble is my favourite thing when I am off duty. Can we please have a moment to admire this beautiful 30 Seconds to Mars jumper?

Final Thoughts

Documenting my daily looks has helped me reconnect with my wardrobe and be more mindful about the choices I make every day.

It is so easy to fall into a WFH style rut, wearing the same clothes on repeat and out of habit, but getting dressed with intention makes SUCH a difference, even when no one's watching.

Let me know which outfit was your fave, and if you’re into these weekly roundups, I might make it a regular thing!

With so much love,

Clara | BICE Styling
